Welcome to our blog!

Le Monde N'Est Pas Rond_40pgs.inddWelcome to our new blog!

Le monde n’est pas rond (The World is Not Round) is an international artistic newspaper, based in Luxembourg, that explores the contemporary realities of migration, borders, and human rights through the publication of articles, art and illustration, photography, prose and poetry.

Launched in March 2013 at the Festival des Migrations, the Le monde n’est pas rond artistic newspaper is published by independent activist group Nobody is illegal – Luxembourg, in association with Passaport Project. Edited by writer and activist Antoine Cassar and designed by visual artist Marco Scerri, the paper comes in 4 languages – English, French, German, and Luxembourgish.

Issue 1 brings together the works of artists, journalists, photographers and writers from 19 countries, as well as features by Migreurop and Immigrant Movement International. We will begin to accept submissions for Issue 2 in June 2013.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be featuring extracts from the newspaper on this blog, and inviting readers to discuss their reactions to the published articles and artwork. In the meantime, have a look at our short quick-flick video, and join our Facebook and Twitter pages to stay updated.

The printed newspaper is available to buy here for only € 3 + postage, via Paypal or credit card, and will soon be on sale in kiosks and bookshops in Luxembourg and beyond.

Happy reading!
